Bridal Show

The wedding season is here. The Fess Parker Double Tree had a successful bridal show on March 1st., where all the brides and grooms were able to make it a one stop shopping spree. Flora Boutique displayed designs in lavender and purples. Here is a peek of our display, my son Henry had a chance to show off his miniature tuxedo :-) ! It was a pleasure meeting all the new brides and we look forward to helping make your special day memorable.

Valentine's Day Flowers!

Spray rose heart with a contemporary style. It was last year's favorite!

Valentine's Day Flowers!

Valentine's Day is February 14th. Next Saturday. Flora Boutique has been quite busy with weddings and the Holidays were great with creative center pieces. We are now getting ready for the biggest Holiday of the year for every florist, Valentine's Day. If you have a loved one and want to express love on this day, you cannot go wrong with flowers. We will be offering premium Equadorian roses, as well as premium and mixed floral arrangements including tullips, lilies, gerberas and more. Life is great, love is great...say it with flowers!

We would also like to extend an invitation to the next Bridal Show at the Fess Parker Double Tree. It is always great fun and a place to find all of your wedding professionals. Flora Boutique is a preferred recommended florist for the Double Tree and we will be there. It will be March 1st. 2009 Attached is a picture from the Fess Parker Double Tree booklet. This bridal show is just stunning.

On another note, my little baby Henry is now 16 weeks old! He's the best thing that has ever happened to me, keeps me quite busy and so I have less time to blog. He's wonderful and he's daddy is very proud.

Great Wedding Season

We are now slowing down a bit from the busy wedding season. It's been so much fun, we have enjoyed putting our brides' dream wedding ideas into a reality with unique floral designs. The textures and colors reflected everyones' personality and dream wedding. We now get a little break to plan for the holiday events and next year weddings. This works quite well as I'm expecting a baby boy on October 29th! I can't wait, it's my first baby.

I want to share a couple of pictures from one of our recent weddings a couple of weeks ago at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, I love this location. Kelly looked absolutely gorgeous. Her bridesmaids carried a natural and yet elegant bouquet that included fresh lavender.

What's new for Santa Barbara Weddings

Flora Boutique has been quite busy the last few weeks with summer weddings. We have been having a great time doing what we love doing best. We are now getting ready for fall and winter weddings as well as winter parties. Reds, oranges and browns are always in style for fall weddings. It will also be in style to use purples, browns and accents of apple green for the stylish and modern brides. Purple lisianthus are a great flower to use for that look, and the good news is that they are not costly flowers.

We'd like to congratulate the brides we had the pleasure to help with their flowers in the past couple of weeks; Alexandra, with a lily and rose bouquet, celebrated her wedding at the Stella Mare's Event Center also decorated with lilies. That's what I call, simple, and elegant. A great place for quality versus quantity. Sarah, our bridal bouquet winner from the SB bridal show, had a white elegant bouquet that included roses, calla lilies and hydrangea. Katie had a ceremony at the beach under a Chuppah that we provided, lightly decorated with pink flowers. A nice complement to her bridesmaids that were wearing tiffany blue color dresses. Katie carried a bouquet that included stephanotis, calla lilies, roses and gardenias. Katie and her party then went on to celebrate at the Fess Parker Double Tree. Jayne, also celebrated her wedding at the Fess Parker Double Tree Resort. She had an intimate reception where Flora Boutique had the pleasure to decorate with lilies and one of my favorite pieces, a fun Martini piece for the bar. Jennifer, held her wedding at the Plaza at the Double Tree as well. We provided an arch decorated with red flowers. Jennifer used mostly reds for her wedding and reception. She held a stunning bouquet including black bacara roses and classy red roses. She had red petals for the side of the aisle that just made her shine as she walked down the aisle. Last weekend we had the pleasure to be a part of Nicole and Bryan's wedding. They had one of the most beautiful views in town. We set up a Chuppah for their ceremony at the top of the SBCC hill looking out to the mountains, the ocean and the harbor. Great job choosing such a beautiful spot Nicole and Bryan! Nicole held a cascading orchid bouquet with stephanotis. They used black bacaras and burgundy calla lilies to decorate their chuppah. They celebrated their wedding at the Santa Barbara Cabrillo Arts Center, another great spot for a great view.

Congratulations to Alexandra, Sarah, Katie, Jayne, Jennifer and Nicole. You all made beautiful brides and congratulations to all the lucky guys!!
